Urban Solutions is a non-partisan organization working to provide resources and solutions to disadvantaged communities. Specializing in issues of civic engagement, criminal justice reform, education, and business.

BACKGROUND

Established in 2006 Urban Community Solutions is a trusted community resources that works with a multitude of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. In our 13 years of experience our action have included tabling, canvassing, outreach and building overall community participation.

Urban Solutions also actively works with WE VOTE MN, St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, multiple Churches, various businesses and many of the surrounding neighborhood associations to Get Out The Vote for St. Paul municipal elections.

Mobilizing Activism

We have mobilized a local and national, diverse coalition of organizations and federal lawmakers to address systematic flaws in policing across America. We look to create legislative solutions that will hold police officers accountable, ensure taxpayers dollars are spent towards solutions that actually address public safety, and put an end to police violence and abuse of power, especially against black and brown communities.

Seeking Justice

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison brought charges against the remaining officers involved in the murder of George Floyd and upgraded charges on Derrick Chauvin to second-degree murder. The officers who violated their oath to serve and protect communities must be brought to justice. We call for accountability and we also call for healing and restoration for George‘s family and communities across Minnesota.
